(This is where hilarity ensued)

Eric announced:
Ladies and Gentlemen!

I have some very exciting news.  There has been a winner in the
contest of the ages.  Rather than trying to describe its greatness
with words, let's get right to showing off the winner.

The aforementioned "free dinner" goes to one Mr. Ben Deaton, with his
creative work in coming up with the "Bubba + Heather fer-ever" license
plate.

Here is a picture of  the kind gentleman that was talented enough to
craft the masterpiece and offer his artistic advice.  When I first
walked up to his carny trailer at the Gwinnett County Fair a few weeks
ago, I told him I wanted to get a plate, but I didn't know what color
or background I wanted.  His reply, obviously being based on a life of
deep reflection and meditation on how to best compliment the color of
a license plate and the color of an automobile, was, "Well, what color
truck ya got?"

At the time, Heather and Ben were with me, and knowing that I drive a
Camry, found this to be quite entertaining.  After some further
discussion, we finally settled on the plate you can see in his hand.
Ben insisted on capturing the epic event with his camera, making me
and the artiste pose for a photograph.  I wasn't looking toward the
camera in his first picture, so it was a dud.  Ben of course made us
look back at the camera, at which point the artist offered some more
of his commentary, "Oh I know what this is.  Yall are into that
Crocodile Dundee (shtuff), aren't ya?"

Anyway, we left the trailer to enjoy the sights and sounds of the
carnival and returned a short time later.  When we came up, he offered
his blessing/happy wishes for the lives of Bubba and Heather.  To
quote: "I wish Bubba, and Heather, a very happy feeeeeeeer-ever!!"

So there you have it, ladies and gentlemen.  I leave you with this
entertaining photo of me trying to look gangsta, posing with my car
and license plate.
